A little backstory (okay so it's a bit long)

So, I am a little behind on this blog but I am hoping to get caught up soon. I couldn't post any of this stuff until we told the few people who acually have our blog address, so I have a few weeks to make up for.

So you all know that Jeremy and I just got married March 8th, and you all know that we wanted kids right away. What we never expected was for it to happen so quickly.

We left for our honeymoon on the Morning of March 9th and arrived in Mexico that day. We had a fantastic time- in fact, it was the first time in over a year that I was completely and totally relaxed.

Here is a picture of us shortly after we arrived! We quickly hit the beach!

I would like to say that we partied it up that night, but we were absolutely beat! We were asleep by 6:30- couldn't even stay up late enough to go out for dinner and had to order room service :-)

Anyhow, we were having the most wonderful time and about 3 days into our vacation, I developed a cold. I told Jeremy that I just didn't feel like myself. I had a gut feeling that I was indeed pregnant. I know, I know- crazy woman- right??

Wrong!!! I felt so strongly about it that I got up early one morning and walked to the giftshop to buy a pregnancy test! You should have seen the look on the cashier's face when I asked for it- I was sooo embarrassed. I didn't tell Jeremy what I was up to- I didn't want him to be disappointed. So there I sat- in the restroom of the resort lobby, peeing on a stick. I looked at the directions and... Shit- I can't read Spanish!!! I took me forever to figure out that the test was negative (obviously it was too early to test, but hey, I'm new to this whole thing) I was really sad because I just "knew" something was going on with my body.

Skip to when we leave to come home- This pic was from our romantic honeymooner's dinner the night before we left.

When we got back, my "cold" got a lot worse. I decided to go to the doctor and was told that I had a sinus infection, bronchitis and laryngitis. It's amazing- I didn't really feel that bad while we were gone. Anyhow, the doc prescribed me some antibiotics. I absolutely refused to take them. I still believed!

Then finally... On the 19th of March, I took a test at home and my heart rejoiced! I guess it was women's intuition...who knows?? I'm just glad that something told me not to take the meds! Jeremy and I were in disbelief- we cried and laughed and thanked God for blessing us with such a miracle.

I'll try to keep the posts coming more regularly now.
