1st Dr. Visit

We has our first visit with the doc on April 14th. It was a really nervewracking day! I guess I was just scared cause I didn't have "real" proof that I was pregnant. Apparently the 3 tests I took weren't good enough for me :-) We sat down with the business office to discuss the costs associated with delivery and were then ushered into our room. After a lot of questions and medical history, they took my vitals and started my exam.

I was really anxious because the week before I suddenly felt "unpregnant". I had lost 4 lbs since the positive test and didn't have the horrible morning sickness that I had been having all day long.

She began the exam and said "I don't think you are as pregnant as you think you are, I'm going to order an ultrasound and see if they can get you in right away." Then she walked out of the room. I started sobbing- I was sure something was wrong!

Good news! We had the ultrasound and got to see our little peanut! We also got to hear the heartbeat (it was a strong 150 beats per minute). That was such an amazing moment for both of us, and Jeremy will openly admit to tearing up at that sound. The doctor was wrong- we were measuring at 7 weeks and 2 days- everything was right on track.
